Why ROMA made this website
ROMA’s technicians meet homeowners who just missed a rebate almost every week: an old furnace that was hauled away before anyone photographed it, an installer who wasn’t on the right list, an application deadline that slipped past. The programs themselves are generous; the rules just aren’t written for homeowners. ROMA wanted one place where anyone in BC could find out what a gas-heated home qualifies for, in plain English, without filling in a form or being sold to.

- ROMA matches each figure to the FortisBC, Better Homes BC or federal page it came from, and lists those pages at the end of every guide.
- Where an official page doesn’t confirm a detail, we say “confirm before relying” rather than guess.
- Each page shows the date it was last fact-checked; this version was checked October 15, 2026.
- Guides are written by ROMA’s rebate team and reviewed by ROMA’s licensed gas fitters.
What we don’t do
- We aren’t FortisBC, CleanBC or a government agency, and we don’t pay or approve rebates.
- We don’t collect data through forms, run trackers or sell leads.
- We never promise an amount the program hasn’t confirmed.
- We don’t claim program listings we can’t show you; we explain how to check any installer on the HPCN directory yourself.
